Personality
The Dwarves of Solnarion are a doughty and tough people, generally slow to anger and also slow to make friends. They have are known to have a strong natural sense of order and justice, as well a martial outlook. However this sense of justice can easily become a thirst for retribution and when a dwarf's natural tenacity is turned towards vengeance they are implacable foes.
Relations
An outsider's view of dwarves in Solnarion tends to be coloured by their history with the Eternal Kingdom of Gorandon, and the domination that nation held over Celenor for so long. There are several dwarven clans from other areas of Celenor and indeed some from other continents entirely, but all tend to be viewed through the lense of history regardless.
Humans, elves and nezumi tend to be suspicious of dwarves, at least until the dwarf in question has done some thing to dispell that feeling, and those dwarves of Gorandon descent tend to view these races as lessers or indeed still view them as rebels.
Half Orcs tend towards a negative opinion of dwarves, as passed down by their orcish forbears and their role in fighting the dwarves in the war to free the colonies. Dwarves favour the view that half-orcs are the foul offspring of a hated enemy, and view them with contempt and suspicion at best.
Halflings, by their nature as travellers and traders tend to have a neutral view of dwarves, feeling neither suspicion or commaraderie with the stout folk. Gnomes have little to do with dwarves, and so are also ambivalent about them.
The hobgoblins of Celenor are one of the races who view dwarves most favourably, having shared a long martial history as brothers in arms and rulers of Gorandon and its surrounding lands. Both races share a similar martial philosphy and a lawful view of life.
Alignment
The dwarves martial outlook and history of rulership and domination means that dwarves very much favour Law over Chaos. As a whole dwarves tend to favour neither good nor evil, being neutral. Adventuring dwarves tend to be a more individual lot and so may just as easliy be good as neutral or evil.
