This is intended as a brief history, until more work is done on development for this nation, to showcase what Raudia is all about and give some idea of where it is and what it is like. Keep an eye out for updates
[/li][li] A reasonably large nation that like its Beria to the south, is largely human dominated.
[/li][li] The country has a warm, relatively dry climate for the most part, making it a land of rolling plains in its interior. The north-eastern peninsula is largely forested and provides some of the best lumber in easter Celenor. The mountains in the west are some of the richest in Celenor for iron mining.
[/li][li] Raudia has a number of excellent natural harbours along its coastline and posses a powerful navy, with a reputation for ship building and seafaring that far outweigh her relatively small size.
[/li][li]Raudia is a constitutional monarchy with parliamentary elections held every 4 years (in theory; in practice they can be much more frequent). Every citizen of Raudia is elegible to vote upon production of a valid tax record.
[/li][li] Raudia has a reputation as a somewhat chaotic and unpredictable nation. The government of Raudia has been somewhat unstable over the last century owing to infighting amongst the parties in the parliament, which has at time turned to a limited form of civil conflict. The king has acted as a stabilising influence to keep this from getting out of hand.
[/li][li] In the recent past (the last 30 years) Raudia has been at war with both Beria and the Ionian Empire, as well as launching two attempted invasions of the islands off the south coast, in an attempt to garner glory and a reputation for the parliamentary party in power at the time. None of these wars have fared particularly well, and no new territory has been added.
[/li][li] It is rumoured that King Joachim is considering dissolving Parliament and ruling alone to try and bring stability back to the nation.
